The United Nations children's fund says educational differences between
boys and girls are narrowing around the world. But, UNICEF officials say
as many as one hundred fifteen million children still do not attend school.
The officials also said most of them are girls. The U.N. agency said unequal
education between boys and girls is most apparent in the Middle East, North
Africa, Southern Asia and West Central Africa. UNICEF has set two thousand
fifteen as the target year for reaching full equality in education of boys
and girls.
